Method of Automatically Extracting Squeeze Casting Process Data from the Text of Periodical Literature

To develop the data-driven process parameters design method for squeeze casting (SC), it is essential to build an SC process parameters database to support the sharing and utilization of existing squeeze casting process data. And the published journal literature is the main source of SC process data. In view of this, this paper constructs a method of automatically extracting SC process data from journal PDF literature. Each SC PDF paper is transformed into the computer-operable text data stream, and the process parameters data are screened, selected and extracted by SC process ontology based on the text data stream. The experiments indicate that this method can efficiently extract the required SC process parameter data.
