A Fuzzy plus Integral Composite Control Strategy of Switched Reluctance Motor for Electric Vehicles

Switched reluctance motor (SRM) has been widely developed in the field of new energy vehicles and home electrical appliances due to its advantages of simple structure, high fault tolerance, high reliability, good suitableness for harsh working conditions, and flexible control. This paper takes the switched reluctance motor used in electric vehicles as the research object. The simulation model of the system is established combined with the characteristics of the switched reluctance motor and the mechanical motion equation. Aiming at the problem that fuzzy control is easy to produce steady state error, a speed regulator of switched reluctance motor is designed based on fuzzy + integral control strategy. It is verified that the system has better dynamic response and steady-state performance after using the fuzzy + integral composite control strategy. Finally, a four-phase 16/12 switched reluctance motor used for EV is tested. The results show that the combined control strategy can effectively adjust the speed and torque of the motor, which verifies that the motor system has high robustness under different working conditions.
