Meter Reading System Based on NB-IoT

This article introduces a remote meter reading system based on narrowband IoT. This system consists of a meter reading terminal based on the STM32 chip, Huawei OceanConnect IoT connection management platform, Tomcat server and B/S architecture client. The key communication module in the client uses the BC95 narrowband IoT chip with high performance and low power consumption. The Fourier transform is used in the meter reading terminal to design a harmonic detection program, which can provide big data support for improving the power quality of the power grid. The B/S architecture adopted by the client is the trend of future development. This system has the advantages of deployment flexibility, low equipment complexity, low power consumption, and significant coverage expansion beyond the existing cellular technology, which is suitable for promoting the development of smart cities.
