Operational Readiness Simulation Model for Equipment Combat Units

The operational readiness of an equipment combat unit is a comprehensive parameter that reflects its operation and support requirements; its primary evaluation parameters include the equipment readiness rate and operational availability. Herein, the goals of an equipment combat unit and its operational readiness parameters are analysed first. Then, the relationship and trade-off between preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance are explored, and a simulation model – based on the Petri-net software – is proposed for the operational readiness of an equipment combat unit, considering preventive maintenance. Finally, a case study is carried out to verify the applicability of the model.
