Modeling and Analysis of an Electromagnetic Wave Energy Harvesting Device

This paper presents the analytical modeling and architecture of an electromagnetic generator (EMG) for ocean wave energy harvesting which offers flexibility, an easy working mechanism, and that has an economical assembly process. Ocean wave energy can be harvested using this energy harvester. It can also be used as an alternative to the battery. In this paper, the performance of the EMG has been investigated by theoretical study, simulation, and experimental analysis. For its distinctive structural design and optimization, the as-fabricated prototype was able to generate an average power of 120mW at an optimum load resistance of $ 75\Omega$, the open-circuit voltage of 8.61V, and shortcircuit current of 115. 40mA. In this model of EMG, we have introduced a new structure and by optimizing the parameters of this structure we have achieved a significantly high output performance.
