Triangular Combline Filters Conceived for Additive Manufacturing

This paper presents, for the first time, a new type of combline filter. This filter, which has been conceived for Additive Manufacturing, uses triangular irises and cavities in order to enable a geometry that is vertically 3D printable. To validate the new concept, a filter with fractional bandwidth of 1.8% at 11 GHz has been designed, manufactured, and tested.
