Intermediate Module Design for Test Module of RND Center Dashboard in EV with FPGA

Electric vehicle (EV) has many challenges and supports. Safety guarantee of the test of EV parts is needed. Test module is performed to check the center dashboard model with gear RND. Test module is expected to help to construction of infrastructure. RND center dashboard (RCD) is a separated model of test which consists of air conditional (AC) controller, gear RND, USB, central lock/unlock. The RCD output voltage varies with the cases whether connected to the vehicle or independently operated. When RND is connected to EV, the operating voltage of 12V is displayed due to load. If RND is separated from EV, the RCD part becomes to have open voltage output owing to the absence of load, and the problem that the output voltage is randomly changed is caused. In this paper, the printed circuit board (PCB) was designed to solve the error for test on independent RCD. The PCB is located at the middle of the RCD part and field programmable gate array (FPGA) test module. The RCD output has the precise voltage and implements interfaces between FPGA and RCD part by embodying analog logic on the PCB. The part function was checked by measurement.
