CircuitScribe: Block Diagram based Circuit Simulation Application

This paper proposes CircuitScribe, an application that uses predefined blocks of circuits that can be cascaded one after the other and then be simulated to analyze the behavior of the individual circuits and the whole circuit. This web application enables users to simulate electrical circuits using block diagrams instead of delving into the inner design complexities of the circuit. The application's front-end is made using Angular Framework, and the back-end is made using the Django framework and ngspice engine to simulate the circuit in the back-end. In the application, the user can even save the circuit and simulate it whenever needed by accessing the saved circuits. There is also a tutorial section for guiding the new users through the application. Predefined blocks have already been implemented, such as a customizable half-wave and fullwave rectifier, ADC, DAC, and operational amplifier-based circuits. The simulation results share a very high similarity to results obtained by commercial circuit simulation software.
