SOS Algorithm based TID controller of AGC of interconnected Power system

This paper introduces the application of TID controller to solve the AGC issues. The gain parameters are optimized by SOS algorithm. A two-area power system with multi-source (Hydro, Thermal and Gas) generating units consisting GDB and GRC are taken in the system. The performance of proposed model is compared in between SOS optimized and the PFA optimized controller gain parameters. ITAE has taken as an objective function for solving the issues. Step load disturbances of 1 % (0.01 pu) is given in area-1. The roboustness analysis are done for investigation of effectiveness of SOS approached TID controllers against PFA optimized controller.
