Preliminary Configuration Design of Deformable Bionic Flying-wing Aerial-aquatic Unmanned Vehicle

A new deformable bionic flying-wing configuration aero-aquatic unmanned vehicle(DBFAUV) is proposed with the problems existing in the design of classical cross-domain UAV. The aerodynamic and hydrodynamic characteristics of the DBFAUV is calculated by the commercial CFD software. And the lift and drag curves of the DBFAUV in the air at subsonic and transonic speeds, as well as the drag and lift curves in the water at high, medium and low speeds are obtained. The analysis results show that the DBFAUV can achieve better navigation ability in water and air through deformation, and can reduce the trim attack angle and obtain smaller resistance by turning 180° underwater.
