Analysis and experiment of effective factors in industrial CT dimensional measurement

In the manufacturing process for complex parts, industrial CT is not only used for defect detection, but also more and more used for dimensional measurement. Aiming at the effective factors of industrial CT in dimensional measurement, this paper compares and analyzes the scan magnification ratio, feature size, cone angle, part material and segmentation algorithm through numerical simulation. It is found that the segmentation algorithm has the greatest impact on the measurement accuracy within the set conditions. And there are obvious and systematic property, including over-segmentation and under-segmentation on the entity features and cavity features. According to the CT dimensional measurement, the results of the standard parts are verified. Moreover, the research has great significance for the dimensional measurement and calibration of industrial CT, subsequently.
