The Analysis of Properties and Functions of Power Fluids for Hydraulic Systems of Special Purpose Vehicles

The article presents the results of the first stage of scientific research to determine the influence of the physical properties of the working fluid on the external characteristics of the hydrodynamic transformer of a special purpose vehicle. At the first stage of scientific research, an analytical review of the scientific and technical literature and the identified shortcomings during operation was carried out according to the requirements and characteristics for working fluids, taking into account their impact on the energy intensity of the vehicle torque converter. The paper characterizes fluids for hydraulic systems with an indication of their purpose, as well as the chemical nature of the products that are their basis. The basic physical properties of oils are given and the characteristics of the most common working fluids that are used in hydraulic drives of special machines in Russia and the USA are considered.
