The concept of Choosing Methods for Testing Automated Driver Assistance Systems, Taking into Account their Impact on the Accident Rate

A concept is proposed for the selection of testing methods for automated driver assistance systems ADAS, taking into account the statistics of road traffic accidents in the Russian Federation. The stages of the choice of methods for testing the ADAS system are described, including the identification of typical scenarios of road accidents and their attendant conditions, the formation of test scenarios and criteria for evaluating the effectiveness of the system under study. An example of the implementation of the proposed concept when choosing a methodology for testing advanced emergency braking systems of AEBS is given.
