Comparative Analysis of Metering Chips for Smart Meters Based on Analytic Hierarchy Process

With the rapid development of science and technology, the smart grid has basically achieved nationwide coverage. Smart meter as the terminal of smart grid, its selection for smart grid construction has become a very important part. As the core component of smart meter, there is no unified selection standard for energy metering chip. Based on this, this paper proposes a power metering chip selection scheme based on analytic hierarchy process (AHP). Through the comparative analysis of ADE7752A, ATM90E36A, ATT7022EU, RN8302 and BL6513C, the performance of each chip is scored, and the weight distribution of clock frequency, ADC bits, sampling frequency and harmonic measurement is carried out by AHP, and the total score is finally calculated. The analysis results show that the ADC bits and sampling frequency of the metering chip have great influence on the chip selection, and the performance of the chip ADE7752A is the best through the evaluation function.
