Parameter Design Method of Virtual Synchronous Generator in Microgrid Base on Loop Bandwith

For the microgrid composed of distributed power sources controlled by virtual synchronous generators, considering the fluctuations in output power and load, especially during off-grid operation, due to the loss of the grid's frequency support, the control parameters have a significant impact on the frequency stability of the microgrid. This article first establishes the mathematical model of the distributed power generation system based on the virtual synchronous generator, including its active power, voltage, and current loop. Study the influence of control parameters such as virtual inertia and damping coefficient on the frequency stability of the microgrid when the load changes suddenly. On this basis, according to the open-loop and closed-loop transfer functions of virtual synchronous generator control, the design methods of control parameters base on loop bandwith are studied, and the basis and selection method of parameter design are proposed. Finally, by building a microgrid model in the Matlab/Simulink system, the performance of the designed control system is simulated and analyzed, and the effectiveness of the adopted control parameter design method is VERIFIED.
