Design of Hybrid Excitation Flux Switching Motor Based on Air-Gap Field Modulation

In this paper, the topology of the 12-slot 10-pole hybrid excitation flux switching motor (HEFSM) is proposed firstly. Then, based on the air-gap field modulation theory, the general expressions of air-gap flux density, back electromotive force (EMF), and electromagnetic torque of HEFSM are derived, the working principle of HEFSM is described in detail. Moreover, by combining the Taguchi experiment, Differential evolution (DE) algorithm, Pareto evaluation, the proposed HEFSM is optimized by sequential subspace multi-objective optimization method. Finally, the electromagnetic performance of the proposed HEFSM is evaluated and valuable research conclusions are given.
