Smart Car Control System Based Arduino Uno for Obstacles Avoidance and Engine Temperature Control

In this project, a smart car control system for obstacles avoidance and engine temperature control was developed in order to reduce considerably car accidents mostly due to unexpected road obstacles and/or sudden car engine breakdown by the engine overheat. Therefore, to detect and avoid road obstacles, a low-cost smart car control system based Arduino Uno (Atmega328P) was designed. Moreover, for engine temperature monitoring and control, a temperature sensor LM35 was incorporated at the car radiator. The developed system will be used in all type of cars. For its implementation, the proposed control system was designed and simulate in Proteus Software which is schematic based microcontroller simulation tool. The results were encouraging with the developed control system as car can automatically avoid road obstacles and reduce the engine breakdown due to excess of engine temperature.
