Smart Traffic Light Control System for Lovely Professional University

With the expeditious advancements in science and automation, further people are utilizing automobiles in this day and age. Consequently, this increased vehicular number constructs congestion, accidents, and misconduct of vehicle flow on roads. Typical traffic light control systems are not proficient to dispense present-day congestion complications. For that reason, an advanced system needs to be introduced in this domain. This paper initiates a method to use the forecasting of vehicles using Neural Network (NN) toolbox in MATLAB software. It also focuses on the algorithm for sequentially switching the traffic lights using forecasting from the NN toolbox. This paper focuses on the traffic framework of Lovely Professional University (LPU), Punjab (India). Furthermore, a well-planned system is designed to solve congestion problems in LPU.
