ABC Algorithm Based Fuzzy-Pid-(1+Pidd) Controller for Load Frequency Control in Multi Microgrids

This study presents optimal design of Fuzzy based PID cascaded with (1+PIDD) named as Fuzzy-PID-(1+PIDD) controller using Artificial Bee Colony (ABC) algorithm for frequency regulation in Multi Micro Grid (MMG). The MMG model is designed and ABC is used to tune PID, 1+PIDD, PID-(1+PIDD) and Fuzzy based PID-(1+PIDD) controller. Controller parameters are tuned using Integral of Time multiplied Absolute Error (ITAE) as fitness function. The superiority of ABC tuned Fuzzy-PID-(1+PIDD) controller is established by its superior performance compared to ABC tuned PID, 1+PIDD, and PID-(1+PIDD). Out of these controllers the minimum ITAE and improved dynamic response achieved by proposed Fuzzy-PID-(1+PIDD) controller.
