User interface for calculation of principal stresses and Mohr’s Circle

The implementation of calculation tools is an efficient way to solve problems in education and professional practice. The user interface developed, for teaching purposes, in the MyOpenLab graphic programming software, allows the calculation of the plane stress states as a function of the principal stresses and the maximum shear stress, in addition to obtaining the values of the stresses corresponding to a specific direction entered by the user. The graphical representation of the stress states is also provided in a general way, as well as the Mohr’s circle and the location of their respective parameters.
