Dynamic Control of Electromagnetic Waves by 2-Bit Programmable Metasurface in Dual-Band

The rapid advancement of wireless communication technology has prompted the requirement of improved channel capacity and multimode communication. Therefore, we introduce the concept of dual-band 2-bit programmable metasurface which has the advantage of high capacity and 2-bit phase quantization. To validate the proposed concept, the metasurface is used to realize dynamic twin-beam scanning, four beam scanning, and diffusion-like scattering in C- and Ku-band.
