Electromagnetic shielding for the protection of the human factor on board a ship

The naval ships are equipped with various electronic devices that generate electromagnetic fields. These fields may affect personnel on board ships. The role of electromagnetic shielding is to reduce the electromagnetic field in a space by blocking it with barriers made of conductive or magnetic materials. Given the complexity of the human body, the paper presents two means of protection against electromagnetic radiation – the protective curtain and the shielding suit. Using “COMSOL Multiphysics” different simulations were performed, and conclusions were drawn.
