Obtaining a Model for the Voltage and Temperature of the US18650VTC6 Series Lithium-ion Battery in Constant Current Discharge Mode from the Analysis of Physical and Chemical Processes in the Accumulator

Currently, the operation of lithium-ion batteries is significantly hampered by the instability of these batteries to overcharge or over-discharge. When these batteries are recharged, lithium metal is released on the negative electrode, which, reacting with the electrolyte, leads to thermal acceleration of the battery. When over-discharging, the destruction of the positive electrode begins, which leads to a drop in the charging capacity of the battery. The mode of an aviation battery discharge (including a lithium-ion battery) by direct current is important for modern aviation. This raises the question of the relevance of diagnosing and predicting the discharge capacity, voltage and temperature of a lithium-ion battery in the mode of its discharge by direct current. In order to solve this problem, in this paper, we obtain direct current discharge models of battery voltage and temperature from the analysis and modeling of the dynamics of physical and chemical processes in a lithium-ion battery. The model of the lithium-ion battery discharge capacity is included in these models of the lithium-ion battery voltage and temperature. Then these models of voltage, temperature and discharge capacity are tested on experimental data. Research for the US18650VTC6 series lithium-ion batteries is underway.
