Chaotic Modulation Technique for Grid-Connected Inverter

In this paper, a comparative study between three chaotic carrier waveforms is carried out based on conducted Electromagnetic Interference (EMI). For this purpose, a High-Frequency (HF) model of single-phase transformerless grid-connected photovoltaic inverter topology is proposed and simulated using co-simulation technique between SPICE-based circuit software and MATLAB/ Simulink. The obtained results show that conducted emission is almost the same with sawtooth, triangular and inverse sawtooth carriers. Moreover, the performance in terms total harmonic distortion of the modulated output voltage is investigated to emphasize the importance of appropriate parameter selection of chaotic algorithms.
