All-optical True-Time Delay for Phase Control in MIMO Systems

A simple and cost effective all-optical true-time delay, based on optical frequency comb combined with fiber dispersion, is proposed. Simulation results in both the optical and RF domain show the applicability of the proposed solution in hybrid optical-radio access networks for wideband beamforming in a phased-array antenna system.
