Editorial to the Special Section on Optimized Image/Video Coding Based on Deep Learning

This Special Section of the IEEE Open Journal of Circuits and Systems is dedicated to a collection of articles on Optimized Image/Video Coding based on Deep Learning, to promote techniques in algorithms, implementations, and applications in this highly active field of research. This Special Section covers articles in three categories including end-to-end image/video coding optimization, learning techniques for optimizing traditional image/video codecs, and coding for machine vision applications.
