A Power Router Composed of Multifunctional Inverters

This paper presents a power router, which can control power packages between multiple power devices, being like an internet router. The power router is composed of multifunctional inverters connected to a common DC bus. The digital controller using the adaptive hysteresis current control method enables the inverters to be controlled in multi-functions, such as stand-alone, PV-connection, battery-connection, main-grid-connection, sub-grid-connection, on the same electrical circuit. Simulations have been carried out to demonstrate the operation of the power router.
