Development of a Habitat Monitoring System for Tsushima Leopard Cat in Wild Environment

Tsushima leopard cat is a type of wild cat that lives only on Tsushima Island. In recent years, its population has been decreasing due to the deterioration of its habitat and traffic accidents. Currently, conservation and breeding projects are being carried out with the aim of ensuring a stable habitat in the wild. In order to develop these projects, it is important to observe and study in detail the habitat conditions in wild environment. Our goal is to develop an automatic monitoring system and an individual identification method using deep learning in order to efficiently observe the Tsushima leopard cat.
