A Constraint Equivalent Model of Heat Network with Heat Storage

Optimal co-operation of the combined heat and power systems (CHPS) can achieve the high energy efficiency with detailed operation data of both the power and heat network. Nevertheless, sharing detailed data is a challenge because power and heat networks are operated by different companies where operational independence must be considered. In this paper, a constraint equivalent model is proposed to represent the influence of the heat network on the power network while protecting data privacy. By using this model, the feasible region for power output of CHP units can be approximately captured considering the operational constraints of heat network. Meanwhile, the impact of heat storage as a flexible resource on power output feasible region of CHP units is analyzed. The constraint equivalent model can replace detailed information of heat networks and can be provided to power systems without data leakage. The simulation of a modified 6-node heat network shows the effectiveness of the proposed method.
