Use of the Earned Schedule to Subcontractors Control in Construction Projects

In a real estate project there is the peculiarity of having a large percentage of items that, being highly specialized, are subcontracted, even some companies dedicated to the construction of buildings subcontract the entire scope entrusted by the client, these companies fulfilling a role of managers for all your subcontractors. The contracting company must ensure that its subcontractors meet the cost, deadline, and quality range required by the customer, thereby complying with the triple constraints of project management. In this paper we will focus on discussing the time and cost control of subcontractors for a real estate project, developing a simple and methodological process, using the methodology of the schedule and earned value, which allows us to know the performance of subcontractors and thus having early indicators on them to make improvement decisions.
