A 3D printed all dielectric Fresnel zone plate lens with high gain characteristic at the X-band

In this paper, an all dielectric FZPL based on 3D printing technology is proposed. The lens can improve the gain of a horn antenna in the specific frequency range of 8 ~ 12 GHz, while a peak gain of 21.77 dBi is obtained. The Fresnel zone plate lens adopts odd wave band shielding, which can effectively improve the aperture efficiency with a maximum value of 20.29%. The -3dB beam width is compressed to 9.1°, which improves the direction of the antenna.
