High Isolation High Front-to-back Ratio Antenna Based on Slotted SIW

In this paper, a new type of decoupling structure-slotted substrate integrated waveguide (SSIW), which is combined with DGS and SIW, is proposed and a high isolation, high front-to-back ratio antenna array is designed based on SSIW. By introducing a defected ground structure (DGS), the coupling between the antenna elements is reduced, and SIW is used to suppress the backward radiation caused by DGS. In the impedance bandwidth (S11<-10dB), the coupling between antennas is lower than -25dB, and the front-to-back ratio reaches 23dB. It can be seen that DGS and SIW structure complement each other.
