Design of a 3D FSR With Wide Absorption Band Based on Hybrid Lossy Structure

Design of a 3D frequency selective rasorber with a wide absorption band is proposed in this paper. The FSR is composed of a hybrid lossy structure and a lossless FSS layer. The hybrid lossy structure is constructed by a λ

/4 short-circuited transmission line resonator and an interdigital resonator(IR), both of which are loaded with a bending dipole and lumped-resistors. The lossless FSS layer is a Jerusalem structure. The absorption band below and above the transparent window are generated by the upper and lower lossy structure respectively. The efficient absorption bands are in the range of 4.08-12.65GHz and 15.49-23.79GHz providing the fractional bandwidth of 102% and 42%. The transparent window is designed at 14GHz with insertion loss of 0.48dB.
