Smart City GIS Mapping and Analysis of Intrusion Detection

An increasing number of cities are choosing to switch to smart cities because it offers creative innovations and more direct engagement and coordination with people and the city government through the spread of technologies, like the Internet of Things (IoT), for administrative operations and increase the well-being of the population, cloud infrastructure, and interconnected networking processes. However, it is not easy to transform a city into a smart city; besides comprehensive planning of IT infrastructure, it needs a secure environment. Digital disruption poses many problems concerning privacy and confidentiality of information, despite a range of possible advantages. The paper presents the visualization and spatial study of cybersecurity attacks in smart cities with GIS (Geographic Information System) by detecting cyber-attack intrusion by GeoCluster algorithm, mapping the cyberattack intrusion locations, and advanced spatial statistical analysis and R software have been used to explore cyber-attack patterns.
