Sensor Technology and Regulation method for Sustaining the pH value in Sugar Mechanized Process

Sugar is an important ingredient for the food we make at home and also for the manufactured foods. The quality of the sugar products can be maintained only if their pH value is controlled. This pH value plays an important role in liming, sulphitation process and clarification. Thus preserving the pH rate in the sugar content is emphasized with the hardware components and the addition of lime content in order to stabilize the pH is done through a PID controller. The parameters considered in the tuning of PID controllers are the time domain, integral absolute errors along with its associated factors. Hardware model is developed with Load cell and pH sensor which is interfaced with the PC for tuning the PID controller values. The tuning is carried out by the Internal Mode Controller (IMC) based PID. The simulation of the work is done in MATLAB. Results indicate the error is minimum in the order of 1.94X10
