Study of Hydrokinetic Turbine Shrouds

This paper investigates the flow characteristics for two hydrokinetic turbine shrouds with different hydrofoil type cross section, and the same reference diameters. The experiments were run in a free surface water channel and a Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) system was used to measure the velocity field. The paper presents resulting velocity fields, as well as the measurement methodology and equipment's used.
