EV Charging Control using DSRC System in LVDN with DG Penetration

In the recent years a huge increase in Electric Vehicle (EV) sales has been noticed worldwide. Power systems specialists expect a great increase in power consumption determined by EVs alone. Multiple studies show that big problems will be encountered across the entire power supply sector if EV charging is not managed accordingly to the situation in power systems; also, the energy prices will increase as a direct result of the necessary investments in power systems. This paper can be considered the second of a series of papers, that propose and test the behavior of a novel Decentralized EV Charging Control system (DEV-CC). In this paper, the response of the DEV-CC to variations in power production of Distributed Generation (DG) sources is tested, and the results are compared to the results in the first paper, where a constant power DG source has been considered.
