Experimental Study on the Thermal Environment Inside a Vehicle Cabin with Innovative Air Diffusers

Vehicular thermal comfort is an important thematic in noondays since the time spend by people inside de means of transport increases and the energy spend by this means must be decreased. In this article are presented the effects of two different geometry of air diffusers over the temperature's distributions inside a vehicle cabin. The first geometry is the original one (from the manufacturer of the vehicle) with straight ailerons (noted further CG) and the second one has lobed ailerons (noted further LAG). The main conclusion is that the innovative air diffuser (LAG) provides a better mixing between the introduced airflow and ambiental air leading to a better uniformity and to a lower temperature inside the vehicle compartment compared with the case of CG
