Experimental Evaluation of a Wave Source Location Estimation Method Using UAVs

In recent years, the pressure on frequency resources owing to the increase in wireless communication systems has become a problem. However, focusing on time and place, there are unused frequency resources, and studies are being conducted on the secondary use of these frequency resources. For secondary use, it is necessary to estimate the transmitted wave source position; however, it has not been possible in the past because of multipath and antenna size problems. In our previous study, we proposed a method using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and clarified the effectiveness of the method by conducting simulations. In this study, we conducted experiments to simulate the proposed method and evaluate the estimation accuracy in an actual environment.
