Application of Minimal Curved Surface in the Design and Preparation of Bone Scaffold

A bionic scaffold with a honeycomb structure is beneficial to the proliferation and differentiation of bone cells, and can increase the probability of successful transplantation. The mechanical strength of the bones of various body parts is also very different, so the standards for the mechanical properties of the bone scaffolds are different, and it is necessary to further analyze the difference in the mechanical strength of each hole-shaped bone scaffold to provide a theoretical basis for the study of the bionic bone scaffold. This paper compares the mechanical strength of three TPMS unit models. The stress distribution at the upper edge and intersection of the D unit model is concentrated. The I-WP unit cell model has local stress concentration and poor deformability. The stress distribution of the P element is relatively uniform, the energy absorption capacity is good, the deformability is good, the elasticity is good, and the model surface is smooth without crossing boundaries. The impact of the two construction methods on the mechanical properties is compared. The PLA solid P structure has a low stress value and the overall distribution is more uniform, which causes weaker interference to the cells implanted in the stent. The double P structure has stronger concentrated stress in the unit. Especially the stress value at the corners increased significantly. The double P structure of PLA material produces a large amount of deformation and is prone to large extrusion. However, the deformation of the solid P structure of PLA material is weakened, the total displacement of each node changes more uniformly and the displacement is low, and the elastic performance is good. The P-hole stent has excellent performance under compression, tensile, and shear forces, and can withstand large axial forces. The shape of the curved surface and the mechanical strength of the bracket can be changed by adjusting the structural parameters. The porous stent is coated with a film to obtain a PLA porous stent that has been surface-modified by hydroxyapatite. The mechanical strength of the HAP-PLA stent is relatively high, so the HAP coating can reinforce the stent.
