Object Recognition with Machine Learning for People with Visual Impairment

This paper describes a mobile application that uses a convolutional neural network to recognize objects and then communicate them to the user using a text to speech module. The application would primarily be used by visually impaired people as a tool for better understanding the immediate environment.
