Price-based Resource Allocation Scheme for V2X Communications Underlying Uplink Cellular Network

This paper investigates price-based resource allocation strategies for V2X communications underlying uplink cellular network, in which vehicular user equipments (VUEs) and cellular user equipments(CUEs) share channel resources. Assuming that base station(BS) protects itself by pricing channel resources for vehicles, we formulate utility functions for BS and VUEs based on Stackelberg game theory. We innovatively proposed broadcast spectrum efficiency and use it as part of the vehicle optimization goal. The Stackelberg equilibriums are characterized. Simulation results show that our pricing method and power selection method are effective in resource allocation and base station protection for V2X communications.
