Structural and Evolutionary Analysis of Coauthorship Network in Scientometrics

Using the coauthorship data of two representative journals in scientometrics, we explore the temporal and structural features of the corresponding coauthorship network by social network analysis and statistics. The results show a core-periphery structure gradually forms in the entire network and the evolution of this core (i.e., the largest connected-subgraph) is also characterized by its structural changes.
