Research on Design Task Decomposition System for Collaborative Development of Complex Customized Products

During the development of complex customized products, task decomposition is highly subjective, and the coupling iteration between tasks is normally ignored, which might cause problems in practical process such as excessive iteration of design tasks, resource conflicts, and task delays. Therefore, this paper proposes a design task decomposition method based on the mapping rules of component nodes and design tasks, which establishes a design structure matrix based on task relevance. Through the K-means clustering algorithm, the design task is reorganized to make sure the information transfer between tasks considered, so as to satisfy the actual product development and to improve the accuracy and efficiency of design task decomposition. In the final part, the task decomposition process of the 28MN large aluminum extruding machine is demonstrated as an example to verify the feasibility of our method.
