Simulation Research on Breaking Performance of 12KV Vacuum Interrupter

Nowadays, vacuum circuit breakers are widely used in the field of medium-voltage power grids, and the vacuum interrupter is the central component of the vacuum switch, which is very important for the research of the internal performance of the vacuum interrupter. In this paper, a three-dimensional modeling of the basic structure of a 12KV cup-shaped longitudinal magnetic vacuum interrupter is carried out, and ANSYS software is used to perform finite element calculation on the model, and the current is at the peak time and the zero-crossing time. The three-dimensional magnetic field distribution of the model is simplified, and the differences are discussed. The influence of the contact material on the breaking performance. The results show that at the time of zero crossing, as the Cu content increases, it is more conducive to the action of the circuit breaker; at the peak time, when the Cu material increases, it is conducive to breaking.
