Real-Time Model Predictive Control with Online State Estimator for Series Fans Processes

in this paper, a model predictive control strategy with an online state estimator was presented to solve the control problem for the most common industrial applications, series multiple fans systems. The online state estimator has been added to decrease the mismatch between the identified model in the offline stage and the real system model which occurred during the variation in operational conditions. The software interface and main control program of the presented experimental study is designed by the LabVIEW software. The data acquisition hardware utilized in this work is the National Instruments USB-6008 multifunction I/O device, which connects to the PC through USB.
