To the Issue of the of Copper-Aluminum Elements Production for Conductive Assemblies in Electrometallurgy

Recently, copper-aluminum elements of various current-carrying units have been widely used in electrometallurgy. Their manufacture is most often carried out using explosion welding, one of the main technological parameters of which is the explosive detonation rate. One of the most common explosives for explosion welding is a ammonite mixture with various inert additives. In this work, for the first time, the main attention is paid to the study the adding gas-forming substance to the explosive charge effect on its detonation velocity. It was established for the first time that the solid propellant presence in the 6 ZhV ammonite charge makes it possible to reduce the detonation velocity by almost 30% and to increase the propelling ability in the mixed charge by 10%.
