Design of high-order series-coupled microring resonator wavelength filter with differential evolution method

We discuss the design of higher-order series-coupled microring resonator wavelength filters using the differential evolution method that is one of the machine learning methods. The design of an 8th-order microring filter with target parameters such as 3 dB passband is successfully demonstrated, which shows the effectiveness of the proposed method.
