Design of High Performance Patch Antenna for Microwave Wireless Energy Transmission

Microstrip patch antennas have an important influence on the overall efficiency of microwave wireless energy transmission. Combined with the conversion efficiency of the microwave receiving rectifier antenna, a high-performance 5.8GHz microstrip patch antenna was designed. The substrate material of the microwave wireless energy transmission high-performance patch antenna is Rogers RO4350, which adopts the embedded microstrip feeding method to form a 4 × 4 rectenna array. By using Ansoft HFSS13 to model high-performance patch antennas, the performance parameters such as voltage standing wave ratio, input impedance, and gain of microwave wireless energy transmission high-performance patch antennas are simulated and analyzed. The results show that the gain of the microwave wireless energy transmission high-performance patch antenna is greater than 18dB, and the half-power lobe width of the Hplane is greater than 20 degrees, which is conducive to improving the conversion efficiency of the microwave receiving rectenna and has certain practical application value.
