Issues of Application of High-Voltage Pulse Generators with Inductive Energy Storage and Gas-Discharge Current Interrupters

The paper presents the research on the use of high-voltage pulse generators with inductive energy storage and gas-discharge current interrupters. Two original schematic design solutions for the construction of high-voltage systems are proposed: transformerless circuit and an option with a pulse transformer. The conducted numerical experiments made it possible to determine the optimal values of the circuit elements for the system effective operation: the inductance of the energy storage was $35-55 \mu \mathrm{H}$, the capacity of an output capacitor $-25-50 \mathrm{nF}$, the duration of the current pulse flow until the breakage moment was $10-15 \mu \mathrm{s}$.
